About us
Created in 2026, Valor SC is a Wichita-based nonprofit youth soccer club committed to transforming how the beautiful game is experienced in the community. The short-term mission is to deliver high-level coaching while remaining affordable. The long-term mission is to help every player use their athletic and/or academic talents to earn access to a college education.

The overarching commitment of the club is creating an environment that is constantly striving for improvement. Every drill, every practice, every game, is approached with full intensity to earn the marginal gains that lead to success in the long run. Our approach then encourages Valor players to take that motto beyond the soccer field and into their everyday lives wether it be in the classroom, at home, or with their faith as future pillars of the community.

From the coaches, to the parents, and the players, Valor is a club for the person who is committed to treating all with respect regardless of the outcome. That starts with teammates and extends to referees, opponents, and the sport itself by giving 100% at all times.
DEVELOPMENTAL APPROACH
"You build a player like you build a house. First comes the basement, the base of a player is technique. You get that between the ages of 7 and 14 years of age." - Arsene Wenger.
At the core of the Valor approach is the dedication to developing technically proficient players. Starting at the pre-academy age and lasting through the 9v9 stage, practices will be structured around developing players who can dribble, pass, shoot, and receive with both feet.

Valor is dedicated to fostering a positive coaching environment where players are guided and instructed through a constructive approach.
That approach begins at practice and extends to games where players are encouraged to take chances, try the unexpected, and quickly move on from any mistakes or setbacks.
ACADEMIC SUPPORT
A core tenant of the Valor approach is bridging the gap between club sports and academic excellence. Many of the same traits that make someone a great athlete translate to the classroom and sometimes players just need help understanding that!
Starting with our high school aged players, Valor will offer academic resources that help our players reach their collegiate dreams with or without soccer.
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
Parents should not have to choose between low costs and quality coaching. Along with low costs that rival any youth sport in Wichita, Valor seeks to remain affordable to ALL families whether through in-club financial aid, strategic partnerships in the community, or individual sponsors.
